Thomastown, Lalor & Epping.

This area is changing very quickly. New Housing Estates and New Shopping centres opening.
Unfortunately the Public Transport system is not developing at the same rate.
People's attitudes have changed, many don't seem to have respect for other peoples properties, a lot of damage being done, and rubbish left any where in the streets. Whats wrong with carrying your rubbish until you find a bin to put it in.
Vacant Lots are a typical example of this and in many of the rented properties, where the people don't seem to have pride in their abode.
What do we need to do to address this problem? Is it our schooling systems, Social Workers,
Children spending too much time on the computer or game machines, instead of being involved in sport. but once again that costs money, or parents too busy working maybe one or two jobs to keep their heads above water. In these difficult times.

I heard recently a comment that we allow our children to have a computer or television each and they go to them, often to separate rooms, and do not have to learn to get on with others. They are not learning resilience, the skills to compromise. Neither are they learning to consider others. I think this can contribute to the malaise in modern society.
